Little Disappointing

Little Disappointing

I'm sick -- chalk it up to the change in seasons and time change ... and the start of Christmas -- ugh!

I did see Little Children over the weekend and was sadly disappointed. I was looking forward to it since Field's In The Bedroom was so well done and I appreciated that it felt "adult." Unfortunately, Little Children lives up to its title as a film (well, maybe more like first year film students). The content was intriguing and adult; however I think Field watched a few too many episodes of Desperate Housewives last year because the seeming formula of Little Children is so similiar that I had to think if he had also had a hand in the weekly comedy that already feels tired just a few episodes into its second season. The one saving grace is the neighborhood pervert and his mother. Their performances alone are actually worth seeing the film.
